You Are The Ultimate Expert on Your Life Decisions

Sometimes we spend too much time looking to experts, coaches, and teachers for answers or help in making a tough life decision.

I’m all for learning from others and continue to do it today. However, there are moments in our careers and lives when we face choice that only we can decide for ourselves.

What we don’t often consider is that while the challenge may not be unique, the context of our lives is unique. Any decision we face exists within our unique context and that makes us the best expert. While it’s valuable to seek the perspective and input of others, ultimately, we have to make and live by our choices.

It’s so important that we have faith in our ability to make the final choice that is best for us, given our context, circumstances, and unique combination of values, passion, and purpose.

And in the end, if you are worried about making the so-called wrong decision, remember this: you can always make the decision great.

The variable that experts, coaches, and teachers cannot account for is YOU. When you make a decision, YOU are now officially part of everything that happens after and YOU have the ability to influence how it unfolds.
